Here is loose bits of my vietnam war collection. It is surrender money which dropped by US so VC/NVA would pick it up but only to find message attached to money demanding to surrender. Hopefully one of member here could shine a light on it for me.

Someone has one for sale for $300,and for a beret in such nice condition, with only 1 flash ever sewn on (it seems anyway)with a name ect, seems in the ballpark from the research I have done at sites like "lee-jackson",and others.

I don't own the original jacket (in my dream) nor fake ones so I can't really offer any much of reference. Articles originally scanned by filupe.

Fakes are easy to spot: Most of fakes were made out of original ERDL jacket. So you would notice stitching ghost of pockets being removed. Sometimes you would even spot ghost of name tapes. Tags are ...

I got this a while a go for $60 from a guy who bought it from an estate sale. I've been told it's a fake by putting period badges on a genuine suit.

The one one thing that stands out to most is the white cotton name tag because it look too new. The jacket is new condition, the pants may have been worn a couple of times but they are a lighter shade so look more worn against the newer jacket.

I would just like a few opinions about this set, for me even if it was made up item it's still ...

as mentioned in an introductory thread i am a Vietnam war(s) era collector.

The conflicts that raged across so many borders in the region fascinate me more and more as i continue down my collecting path.

I have chosen this display as a first militaria post for a number of reasons, firstly it is one of my favourites, and i know we have a few camo collectors here.

There is a chance that one or two of you may have seen this in the past on another forum, but i hope those ...

Here is one of my more favorite camouflage jackets in my Viet-Nam collection. This is a very unusual piece. I have been offered BIG bucks for this jacket, but have turned down all offers.

This jacket is a 1969 0r 1970 dated ARVN brown dominant ERDL jacket. It has a nice SV QMC stamp in the neck area. It has a small tear in the back of the jacket in the back/neck area.

Attached to the right breast is a Cambodian jump wing. Over both pockets is some strange writing. To me, it looks like Cambodian ...

I believe this to be a made up piece but the existence of an ERDL M-65 jacket intrigued me enough to purchase this. The patches notwithstanding, it is evident that someone has gone to a lot of effort in producing this garment.

The jacket in its entirety ... I personally believe this to be made in Asia, probably Thailand. Front zipper is YKK and it mimics the M-65 jacket faithfully. No tag or stampings within.

This is a jacket that I am in the process of buying from a gentleman in Virginia. The original owner of the jacket was named J.S. Steiner and was assigned to the MAAG THAILAND. I have done a little research on the MAAG THAILAND and have found very little information Perhaps someone else may know something.

Picture of the MAAG THAILAND patch. This set also comes with a bush hat with a nice Thailand arc.
