As many of you already know I have a thing for WW1 Victory Medals, I don't know why, I just do. Here are the medals from some of the Allied Powers. All the Allied Powers used the common rainbow design ribbon. Each country was allowed to design their own medallion with winged-Victory on the obverse and either the names or coat of arms of the victorious powers. However Japan and Siam, having no appreciation of a winged-Victory figure from their culture, used a legendary figure who was most ...

I decided to research the navy jumper I got off of ebay and with a tremendous amount of help from Locobuster who did most of the work we were able to piece together the man behind the jumper. I am glad to report that Mr. Vilcone is alive and well still. This is a amazing piece of history and I am glad to have it my collection.

This is the pouch for carrying the brass shells to the M1897 Winchester, shortened for the trenches or France. This bag may have been copied of French design slung over the shoulder rather than as a belt.

Hi,
Here is something cool, although not relating to the ground grunts, a really neat peice. I've been told it has something to do with the angle of the propeller. January 1943 is an early date for the D models, I think they went into production mid-late 1942. It was probably taken off of a crashed FW-190.

Could anyone shed some light concerning German Concentration/Work Camps on the Channel Islands? I have a German helmet which came from a cave/bunker on Jersey. It is an SS marked one. I do know that there were either concentration or work camps on Alderney and that the Germans "took" the Channel Islands. I am just trying to find more info about this...Thanks
