    Managed to pick one of these up - the new style shirt, just need to get my hands on a PCS 2 Smock !!!

    I don't understand the use of the new velcro-style on the upper arm pockets.....
    Are they just trying to save velcro?

    Hi Alex, I believe feedback from the frontline say the big piece of Velcro catches on everything but I suppose there is also a cost saving in production?!

    I can confirm though, from wearing both shirts, the mk2 is much much better, the arm pockets are more comfortable as theyre not as rigid, the smaller chest pockets prevent your pens living in your armpits, and the velcro free arms are too, less rigid, more comfortable, and much easier to roll in shirt sleeve order!

    These are on full scale issue now, all our recruits get given them.
