unidentified fake leather jacket

Hello,I have this jacket in my collection from about 16 years.I bought it in a flea market.I never know waht it is.
For me seems look Bundeswehr or DDR for cut,buttons,and shouldboreders strip.
Material outer is light fake leather blacj,inside color blu.
Any know this jacket or info about it?

I don't believe this is West German, but I really do like your guess that it is East German. Look for ink stamps on the inside left chest area. You should also look into the inside pockets and see if there is a label.

Hi Steve,I have many DDR uniform in my collection,therefore I know DDR jackets are stamps on inside left chest area,but in this it no there,as no there inside pockets.
I exclude commercial or civilian made,because there shoulder boards strip and missing buttons for fix should boards.
Should be Polizei?

the chest pocket flap cut and the button do look a bit german-(ish) to me, however the red lining on the collar, doesn't it look italian, somehow? I thought I saw this on "carabinieri" uniforms ... maybe it is just me, though ...

Italian Carabinieri came to mind because of the black with red piping. But I put that aside when I couldn't find them wearing anything "German looking" like this.

West German Polizei used real leather jackets and also don't have uniforms with red piping. Some have different shades of green piping, but never red.

yeah, that's what has me puzzling ... I saw pics with Italian Carabinieri wearing black jackets with red piping, however never this fake leather stuff ...

It is defo not german police at all their jackets look completely different, not only material-wise, but also the cut is different ... dunno ... it is interesting to find out who is using this type of jackets, though ...

I exclude absolutely could be an Carabinieri jacket. I suppose this is a german,west or DDR,but I know more.
Maybe some DDR collector give information about it.....
