    1965 or 1963(cannot make out properly) woolen combat trs which have bizarrely the knee area lined with what sounds like some sort of Nylon???

    Good idea in principle i guess but noisy as hell!!!!

    Any ideas please which sort of jkt would be worn with these?

    Gents....indeed Bundeswehr issue, the dreaded "Filzlaus" uniform, introduced in 1959, not popular among the soldats of the BW, who took to wearing the moleskin uniform instead, ironically this uniform was replaced by the moleskin uniform.

    They came in a bundle of US trs and were advertised as US so had a surprise when i saw them.

    They are no use to me so could probably go if youre interested in them.

    Have various other Bundy bits if you need anything else.

    I did have a matching side cap somewhere that i bought many years ago but pretty sure thats gone.

    At long last have managed to source a matching shirt/jacket-not easy to find in the UK and the couple I had seen previously were too expensive for me.

    I remember these BW "filzlaus" uniforms being well represented in any army surplus store back in the day.  I have the jacket somewhere.  Lots of guys in scouts used to wear them for winter camping.  Nice acquisition!

    I like the detail to the neck,both button and tab closure and a small wire hook as well. May be a dumb question but what are the buttons and the loops doing down the front please?

    Would think they probably helped to secure some sort of belt and/or yoke to the uniform.

    From what I understand the buttons below the pockets were for attaching the bottom tab of the flashlight but I'm not sure what the center button was for.

    Just got another pair of these trs which interestingly( I guess) have been converted sometime to look vaguely like WW2 German Paratrooper trs,probably back in the day when the high end copys/repros werent available today I guess either for film work or a reenactor they may just have passed at a distance? Dated 12/59.
