There were many instances where soldiers failed to recognize superior ranks as the insignia blended with the camouflage pattern. This was found to be an unacceptable situation so the hi vis insignia were introduced.

Hi Raptor!
I have a set of the new Temperate Woodland gear (Shirt in the CADPAT-AR cut (Standard Cut, with Velcro sleeve pockets), Pants in the "Improved" cut). I should hopefully have an proper ICU shirt very soon. I Will post pictures of my kit at a later date (New Member, need to wait 7 days)
