I'm going to go out on a limb and say the stamps look French, but darned if I know what it is.

Woohoo! I figured it was something special purpose because of the internal straps. Good to know!

    Italian..

Maybe not Italian issue, but definitely Italian made.

The round marking that I can make out reads "Centro Confezioni ..... illegible...Di Milano "..

If someone can make out the ( illegible to me ) letters after  Confezioni and before  Di Milano,
    I can translate .

55  perhaps the year of manufacture ; Don't think it's  the size..  Italian sizes are  usually even numbered.

Have never seen one of these..

So maybe Italian and not French. That helps.

I can't make out all of the stamp but from the missing word appears to begin Mo... My guesstimate translation is Clothing Production Centre No. 3, Milan.
