I just got this shovel, and the cover is made of nylon material.
The model is the same as the old cold war shovel, and I know there are other late type pouches and packs in rubberized fabric, but
I haven't seen any in nylon before, does anyone have more info on this one?

I have a nylon one that is still in the plastic wrapper with a paper label affixed. It refers to the carrier as T/84.
There must be at least half a dozen different variants of Danish shovel carrier, probably more.

Now the markings on your shovel are very interesting - I have only ever seen ex-US Army shovels with Danish green paint.

Thanks! That means this piece is the start of an 80's webbing for me.
I've also only seen US shovels used, this one really surprised me when I opened it.

I'd also like to find the cover type with the different straps on the back, a horizontal one over the suspender straps so it stays verticall better

I was able to source some more later issue gear, and here's how my webbing project sits now, although the 2 rectangular pouches
will be later removed in favor of a magazine pouch. The actual magazine pouch on the other side is actually German, so I'm thinking
of just replacing that one too, or were German pouches also actually used?

The right suspender is not the regular Danish one with the eyelets front and back, but wear patterns indicate it does seem to have
been used with the belt, other suspender, backbuckle, and belt adapters.

And about the rectangular pouches, the one with the pointy flap has a carry strap and seems to be for binoculars, but I have no
idea what the other one is.

I don't know if German G3 pouches were used, but Danish ones were certainly made and issued.

Can we see the back side of the unknown pouch?

There's not much to see, just belthooks at each end, just like this pouch:

Okay, I think it is one of several versions of the SMG magazine pouch. Here is another.

I think it's something different, that pouch looks like it has internal dividers to make 3 compartments.
While mine has basically a big open space inside, and then 3 pockets sewn to the back, a wider center pouch and 1 smaller one one each side.
The middle one has a strap to pull up whatever is supposed to be in it.

Ah, okay, I didn't realize it was that complex - probably not for magazines then. Perhaps for some piece of technical equipment.

Btw, of the 2 versions of the late canteen pouch, were they both in use from 84 onwards, or is one issued only later?
I mean the plasticized variant with liftthedot snaps, and the thick nylon variant with velcro closures.

I think that you would find both in use, as well as various earlier types. In the photos that I have seen, early and late styles seem to be mixed together. It seems that the QM was not too concerned about everything matching very closely.

    No. Not at all.
Different materials and colours are "ok" to mix - if putting together a 1970s - 1980s display set.

Wolverine. the 3 compartment pouch here, may be for the Madsen M50 submachine gun.

Not army issue. Danish police must have used some kind of pouch for theirs.
Export models was found here 30 years ago, As surplus. Origin unknown.
A bit different from the one I can see here, the reinforcement on lower front is unknown to me. Not seen before.

DISA Dansk Industri Syndikat had their own production of assessories.

They would supply their customers with any piece of equipment they wanted.

I believe that these webbing magazine pouches were made at DISA..
I do not know of anything else made from the same types of fabrics. The danish army did not, to my knowledge, have anything like them.

    You are correct.
I suspect the pouches were made by A. Hvidt for DISA, and targeted for export.
They flooded the market some years ago, and have spread all over the world through Ebay and the like.
They are well made, but never used in Denmark.

Got another "Danish" shovel yesterday, again with late pouch (pouch is available for sale if anyone needs it).

Interestingly the shovel is US made and dated 1944, and has an actual Danish label added to it.
