Just wondering what kind of shirt I have here. I'm guessing tailored for some reason. It did have Canadian rank slides on it when found.

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
Canadian engineers wore desert DPM with Canadian badges when deployed with UNIKOM for mine clearance in 1991 or so. I have never seen regular DPM with Canadian insignia though.

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
Good to know, thanks. Are the short sleeves a factory thing or tailored?

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
Take a close look at the machine stitching.
If different color or shade ect then imo tailored to suit.

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
It's a standard British tropical dpm combat shirt c. 1980s with the sleeves cut down. Nothing else unusual about it that I can see.

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
I think this is actually a New Zealand DPM shirt - exactly same pattern as a Brit one but in the characteristic NZ DPM. Doesn't explain the Canadian slides though.

Re: Odd DPM shirt?
Hi its not NZ issued. I've been in since we wore green woollen or cotton shirts. Its Brit tropical as stated. Our manufacturers have never used cloth labels for ID either, ours always use poor quality white printed labels that the black print fades out on. Also we have never used a button hole on the collar.
