Just to share this lizard /Leopard pattern TAP 47/56 set ,trousers are near mint apart from the ankle press studs have been removed perhaps for easier blousing into the boots ,the smock has been heavily modified with the back being taken in down the center and an extra covering of material over the shoulder area which is more in keeping with the hood i picked up a while back ,also the cuffs have been extended with extra material and lined with OD US ripstop as with most of my displays its always the boots im lacking but in time hopefully ill find a suitable pair

Re: TAP 47/56 pattern
Cool closeup of the sleeve length modification! Maybe Gilles will give you some insight about whether it's possible period or not.

Re: TAP 47/56 pattern
Thank you Steve and Gilles for your thoughts ,the extra shoulder covering extends beyond the shoulder boards so they would of had to been removed and then put back as was , im not really familiar with these jackets but are the cuffs normally elasticated

Re: TAP 47/56 pattern
I think I have to go with Gilles' on this one... this looks to be someone who wanted a larger jacket to wear around in civilian life, possibly Airsoft/Paintball. I know the type. A friend of mine took two Spanish green amoeba jackets and cut them up to me one huge one for himself to play Paintball. For 20 years I've called him an idiot for doing that

Re: TAP 47/56 pattern
Well i appreciate the comments Steve and Gilles ,Idiot's sums them up well and to think another jacket was butchered which was showing more vibrant colours to patch up a rather worn example is just insane ,that said what's done is done but im still pleased to have a set like this as im really fond of this camo pattern perhaps in time i can find a more original piece

Re: TAP 47/56 pattern
Fortunately the 47/56 is fairly easily found. At least relative to the other models. I've had a number of them in hand over the years. Prices have definitely gone up, but IMHO you can still find the 47/56 at affordable prices. 47/52 on the other hand...
