    Ernest,

I can only see half of the pic but if there's a black stamp "AFP" on the harness then definitely it's Philippines.

    Hey Philip,

Good to hear from you! How's Combat Camote? I haven't heard from him in a while.

No, this example bears no markings. Does the AFP let soldiers buy non-issue equipment for general use?

    Hey Ernest,

So, that is you! I was thinking who you were when you commented on my pile. Remember the metal storage lockers opposit my glass cabinet? Well, it's now also full. Haven't heard from Noel in a while because he's now handling their company.

Filipino soldiers are allowed to use/wear any webbings they see fit. The drawback here is if an officer wears a Blackhawk vest then the enemy would know that he's an officer then they'll target him. A few have privately purchased ballistics vests from the US and tried wearing them in the field but they figured it was more of a bullet magnet than a lifesaver for them. Some soldiers wear bandoliers and some the H or Y harness with 10 30rd. mags on them.

Camouflage are like rabbits, leave them alone for a while and before you know it you have more!!! I also remember camo just laying around the office, like the Czech cloud pattern top draped on a chair!

I picked up the web gear at Ft. Bonifacio military shop. I do have an example of the H harness with attachment points for a number of 30 rd mags! I will have to count how many?

BTW I'm in Dallas today, weather here kinda reminds me of the PI, except not as humid!!!

    Ernest,

You might want to hook up with the local Dallas collector, Leo Karlin. I don't know what suburb but I do have his phone no.

    Base one,

Looks to be British '58 pattern rucksack and canteen pouch - judging by the colour looks to be a copy (probably manufactured in Asia - many companies were churning out copies of these ...)
