    Belgian rations Empty Belgian rations

Post by Antarmike Sat Jan 12, 2019 7:16 am

I can find reference to C rations. C1 through to C4 rations among US ration details, but nowhere can I find any refrence to C.5 rations.

Can anyone explain how Belgian ration system worked or evolved and just what would have been inside this Belgian C.% ration tin from 1958?

Is there any cross-over between the US system and the Belgian variety?

Which troops would have received C.5 rations?

Does the G before the date indicate a particular menu choice within C.5 rations?   I can find virtually no web info on Belgian rations.

    TIA

I don't know the answers, but I have an apparently identical box, except it is marked C8 instead of C5.
