Hello,
I'd like to share the different rankslides from my collection, different ranks, different ages, and used on different uniforms.
I will be using the dutch names for the ranks, from left to right, upper row to lower row.
First off: GVT (gevechtsuniform) Early '90s - now
soldaat 2e klas, sergeant, adjudant/ vaanrig
tweede luitenant, eerste luitenant
I don't really know how to name these slides, they were probably first used in the 50s or 60s and phased out at the end of the 80s. I think the plastic 'tweede luitenant' is an experimental model.
They were worn on the predecessor of the GVT.
Wachtmeester, tweede luitenant, kapitein
Rain coat that was worn over the 'DT', the dress uniform, these are probably from the 80s or 90s
Sergeant - majoor, adjudant/vaanrig
Again, I'm not quite sure on the uniform this was on, but I suspect it was worn on the 'stratotex' rain coat which was first issued in the 90s
Tweede luitenant
These ranks were worn on the 'militair geneeskundig werktenue', the uniform for medical staff in military hospitals and such. I haven't got any evidence for this, but I think these are currently being issued.
Soldaat der tweede klasse, korporaal der eerste klasse
Sergeant der eerste klasse, sergeant - majoor
These ranks were worn on the old 'dagelijks tenue' or dress uniform. This was in use from 1984 until 2000.
Adjudant, Adjudant - instructeur
Adjudant - instructeur, eerste luitenant.
And last: slides to be used on the pullover, this was intended as a form of 'garrison wear', similar to the pullovers of the british army.
Adjudant/ vaanrig, soldaat der tweede klasse
I hope you enjoyed it, I'm happy to answer questions or get feedback.
