    Mercenary beret?

Post by Mercenary25 on Thu Jul 30, 2009 7:03 pm

I was looking through ebay for vietnam war stuff and I stumbled across this.

Foreign Legion flash on red beret. I read somewhere that FFL flashes/badges are usually adopted by mercenaries.

Honestly, I don't think there's any way to determine its authentic. What do you guys think?

authentic? maybe... but I think it's a current beret. I'm not an expert at all, but it doesn't look very VN era to me.

Save your money. The beret is a fake.

This auction features an ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC FRENCH MERCENARY FRENCH MADE 100% Wool RED BERET. It has an ORIGINAL BULLION MERCENARY Flash insignia. It is in excellent condition. It is FULLY guaranteed of it's authenticity or your money back.

Notice...he never guarantees it to be from the Vietnam time period. He only guarantees it to be "an ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC FRENCH MERCENARY FRENCH MADE 100% Wool RED BERET". Honestly....I'm not 100% positive it is actually of French make. Just my two cents.
