This is the only OD Green uniform item from my Dad that I have been able to find. The discoloration on the sleeves is rust and other weird stuff, my Dad used it as a work shirt when he was taking care of the 'honey do list.'

Saw a couple of these at the surplus store the other day, but didn't pick them up. Perhaps it was because they weren't in the best of condition...even with the rust and discolouration on the sleeves, this shirt is still in better condition than the ones offered at my local shop. Great piece of history to have in your collection.

The 'discoloration' seems to be in the natural wear spots for firing in the prone position Wink

merc - yeah, my dad did two tours in Vietnam. I don't know if this shirt was worn in country or not, but I doubt it was.

filupe - hahaha...would be a cool story to tell if true but the stains are from yard work and storage.
