THAT IS SWEET!!!!! That is one of the neatest patterns I have ever seen...seriously!!! it is too bad they don't use that pattern....I am not the biggest fan of flecktarn.... affraid

Flecktarn is OK, but I would have preferred Flecktarn A over the modified Flecktarn B they eventually went with.

At some point I'll post pics of my other two dozen Flecktarn 5 Color Flecktarn variants. Besides the TruVsu 87/88 trials there are several different types of uniforms and variations on theme. Same basic camo pattern, but the variety of the uniforms is more than most people are aware of. IIRC there are 6 different progressive versions of the basic Flecktarn uniform from 1990-1994. Minutia is important Smile

Oh, and a bit of trivia. Note that 4 out of the 5 of the TruVsu 76 are identical to the then current Moleskin jacket. The one that isn't is Flecktarn B. Interestingly enough, after TruVsu 84 they adopted a revised Moleskin jacket that is nearly identical to Flecktarn B (i.e some 8 years after). That one was in production until Flecktarn was introduced in 1990.

Also, I've since corrected the Punkttarn rank placement. I had them on the wrong shoulders for this pic Smile

BOY oh boy....I think you have the Smithsonian Camo Museum at your house.....probably the only ones in the world... Laughing Boy I would love to find a set of the Sägezahnmuster & the Punkttarnmuster...of course the Fleck A would do as well...I agree the A is WAY better than B..it looks more GERMANISH.... Very Happy If I can say such a thing....hahaha

Nah, there's more out there... they just go for big bucks whenever they turn up. At some point I'll get around to posting pics of my rarer German stuff. Yup, there are things much rarer than these beautiful patterns Smile A lot of it is unknown to most collectors Er.. like 4 different types of Splittermuster (1950s) trousers; infantry, mountain, air landing, airborne. Not that I have all of them!

it's amazing how old they are. they could be from modern manufacture too. meaning the effectiveness.

Im not sure if one of the jacket i have is a trial, its the current flecktarn but the material is a lot different, its harder and rougher rather than the easily flexible current uniforms.

If it is a trials item it will say "TruVsu" or "Truppenvesuche" on the label followed by the date. There's another term used on some labels, but I've only encountered that once and can't remember what it is off the top of my head.

The Chinese made knockoffs when the uniforms were hard to get a hold of. They are stiff and made from 100% cotton (IIRC) instead of the cotton/poly mix of the real shirts. I've got some of them sitting around in my basement. They're pretty good copies including faked tags, but it's easy to identify. Post some pics and I'll be happy to take a shot at identifying it!

The Sägezahnmuster is one of the coolest patterns I've ever seen. I didn't realize the variety of Bundeswehr stuff out there. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for some TruVsu 76 Sägezahnmuster and Punkttarnmuster now though. I like the design of the old moleskin shirts much better. Learned something new. Nice collection.

Has anybody seen the new Colombian digital camo. It looks almost exactly like the Punkttarnmuster.

I have a Columbian shirt, but sadly no trousers. Yes, I'd say it is the only camouflage pattern out there that is even close to Punkttarn.
