Some interesting Comparisons of some camo patterns,

Post by misanthropic_gods on Wed Mar 03, 2010 12:44 am

I took scans of a bunch of my Camo patterns, US mostly, but with some Canadian and British thrown in.

The sample size for all of them is 7in x 4.5in

Here is a scan of some CADPAT TW, its kind of difficult to find a good scan of some actual fabric, so I figured I might as well throw up here

I never knew that CADPAT's edges weren't as "hard" as ACU, NWU and MARPAT. Thanks for posting.

Hmmm... unless it has changed recently, CADPAT does have hard edges. I've got several 1st Model Temperate and a 1st Model Arid, all have hard edges. What was the scan taken from?

I'd never paid that much attention to it... I didn't even know there were variations in the pattern. lol!

My CADPAT sets have sharper edges as well, I will put up pics tomorrow.

taken from the neck flap on a helmet cover I got from MK1creme a little bit ago

I think this might be an older helmet cover, so I would feel safe to say that the printing techniques were not quite as up to par as they are now. You have to remember, CADPAT helmet covers came out years before the rest of the uniforms. It was the first thing made.
