Outranked, full colonel. Nice armored core uniform. Mine is from 1981 an has a big tag next to the little one. Is this tag also on the 1982's like yours? I also saw a faint black circular tsahal (IDF) stamp on the inside on the back 5-6 inches below the collar. Is there one of these on the 82? I like how they are almost see through in the light. It's a good thing too being as the nomex shirts don't have the hole in the armpit like the cotton shirts. But I guess the armpit hole would defeat the purpose of the fireproof nomex in a tank fire. The armpit hole is sure nice in the hot Middle east summer though. I like your extensive Israel collection, makes mine look silly by comparison.

The big tag says "Close the buttons on the front when laundering. Launder at the army laundry only. Do not add starch". Basically laundry instructions. So if you wash these, close the buttons. I just realized why yours wont have the big tag. it says the same thing on the smaller tag on yours. its on the left side of the tag.

I wonder why the other differences in tags. Mine says (on the big tag) fireproof Aleph, yours says fireproof Heh. Mine has a big letter Mem which I think might stand for Merkava (tank). The person I got this from told me it is a tankers uniform shirt. Yours on the other hand has a big letter Gimel. I wonder if these differences represent different types of units that these uniforms were meant for. Do you know what type of unit the Lt colonel who wore that nomex uniform was in?
