Trying to find ............

Trying to get my hands on the three jackets below in height 180-185 and chests 110-112.

If anyone knows what these jackets are called in their native language, please tell me and maybe i can do an internet search on that rather then the English names as the only ones available on English sites are smaller sizes.

A 'Mountain' or 'Alpine' jacket



A goretex jacket and windstopper fleece liner.

The first one is a regular Anzug 03 field jacket. You can find it at Varusteleka in good manly sizes

Sorry i made a mistake. Confused the Goretex parka. That that you posted is the new TAZ03 model. The ones i know where to find are the old model. Well 2 out of 3 is not bad is it? Best of luck on those!

Thank you Albano, top man ! I have ordered the fleece and am waiting for the shop to invoice me to pay for it (I think - my German isn't very good ......... ). I'll soon know how good my German is or isn't depending if I hear from the shop again

I have now got the first jacket on order.

I have seen the fleece but at 75 Euros plus shipping, i wonder why it is so expensive compared to other fleeces ? The ones i have found also lack the shoulder and elbow reinforcements and it's not as if you are getting a lot of pockets on the jacket. So, i'm holding on that for now. If anyone has one and can give me a review of it, I would be most grateful.

Austrian stuff is expensive. Especially in Austria. There are 2 versions of the fleece jacket. One with windstopper and one without. Both are the same cut and both have reinforcements!

Austrian kit is not often looked at but seems to be very good quality and low key. I like that.

Be careful with the fleece jacket. Most of them sold in shops are commercial copies.

Oh dear ..... this is the one I've bought. Cheap enough for a windstopper. But is it genuine Army issue ?

No flag on the left shoulder and the tab and velcro are on the opposite side to the one i posted above so now makes me think it isn't. Bugger ! Well, it'll have to do for now !

It's still a nice fleece but my collecting side is going to insist i get an issue one too and maybe pass on this one to my son

Also commercial. No issue softshell jackets in the Austrian Army.

Looks like there is a strong market for copies of Austrian Army clothing. All I can find is new, non issue fleeces or a few in small sizes of issued jackets.......
