Egyptian Camo Holster Empty Egyptian Camo Holster

Post by Reiska Wed Jun 10, 2009 3:17 am

I picked up this Egyptian camo holster a few months ago. I don't know much about, expect that the camo pattern based on the old Waffen SS Eichenlaub pattern.
Anyone know what this camo pattern is called or what type of pistol it's for? Looks too small for a Helwan.

The Egyptians made reversible uniforms in this pattern. I've see recent joint exercises with the US and Egyptian paratroopers are wearing this pattern.

This is an interesting piece! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is some sort of custom made piece for an officer. But no matter what it's cool!

I would bet money on it being for a Helwan, a Tokarev, or a Tokagypt (which is I'd place almost all my money on). Here is a link that shows what the Tokagypt looks like.

Arch, I bet you are spot on about the Egyptian Tokagypt 58 pistol that this holster fits. I have a black leather shoulder holster that a friend in the Army traded off to me. He said that he got it during the gulf war. It has no markings on it or stamps. It is pretty cool. Bruce
