Just acquired these today, in Mozi from one of my guards.. And they fit, so might just have to keep them, lol.

And not 100% this is Mozambican. One of my coworkers who is Saffie didn't recognize it as being one of theirs, and the guard who I got the cammies from say it is Mozambican..

And I know it is Saffie, but the new Nutria field jacket, which came from the same source..

What the tag says on both MOZ jackets? By your photos they look the same and are similar to the one mine have but the OD jacket it's very strange. Never saw any MOZ troops wearing it and the cut looks francophone.

    Thanks

    Best regards

Both tags are worn. Only thing I can read on the cammo jacket is the reverse side that says "Mozambique"?

    Hi

Thanks for your answer. Are you located at Maputo?

Yes, in Maputo for awhile. I thought drivers were bad in America, but this place is a nightmare. Very Happy

And the jacket does resemble French style now that you mention it. I used to have an older set from the 80's that I traded while doing training with the French.

When i was there it made me such confusion how there wasn't serious accidents. Not mentioning that almost light signs were disconected or missing. Pure human behaviour, when missing we adapt Laughing

Albano, I know when I return home it will take me some time to adapt to civilized driving. Just the same when I returned from Iraq. Oh, and add in the right hand driving that I have become used to. Not sure how well I will handle the left now Shocked

Thanks Arch. I am going to have to buy a second suitcase to return home, lol. Should have more uniform items coming, and am also supposed to get a set from one of the local guys we hired for management. He was a Hip pilot in Mozi Air Force for a number of years, and spent considerable time in Russia during the day for his training.
