Great Grandpa's WW1 Shaving and Sewing Kit. Empty Great Grandpa's WW1 Shaving and Sewing Kit.

I was given this tonight by my grandpa and it blew away that he did. I expected to not get it till he was dead if I even did. But I gave grandpa some silver for Christmas. He was putting it away and he pulled the kit and strap out and handed it to me and said "I know you've been wanting this and you're the only one who would even care about it" so enjoy. The bag is either a private purchase or a home made job, the inside is lined with flour sack material and outside is khaki. Either way, one of my few "not for sale for any price" items.

Glad to see that you have respect for the artifacts used by your ancestors. Many people would have thrown that away or sold it for a few bucks on Ebay.

I have to admit....that patch is very nice. Never seen one exactly like it before.

No offense mate, but you just bumped an almost 2 year old thread written by a member who was banned.

I have seen both safety razors in WWI and WWII uniform groupings. In fact my grandfather used a straight razor and strap shortly before he died in 1983.
