Spanish field hats Empty Spanish field hats

Post by CollectinSteve Sat Jun 26, 2010 1:16 am

To celebrate my first styrofoam display head I dug out most of my Spanish field hats. I have a ton of boonies, helmet covers, and a couple of oddballs, but this is the start of it!

I am not entirely sure about the earlier M68 "Garbanzo" hat, or even if they are all M68. So here they are in no particular order Smile

Following are my rare Camo hats:

    Spanis Legion Sarga hat (1980s?):

Caps from the mid 1980s "OTAN" uniform (as it is commonly known (first one is wool for winter uniform):

1980s-2000s Army camo caps in rough order of introduction:

The next one is a minor variation. Not sure if there was a purpose design change to the brim stitching, edging, or label. Could just be a manufacturing difference that was within tolerance.

wow you did a really nice job aligning the hats perfectly, really cool. They for some reason look like a hat I picked up in Vietnam in 2007, the flat front really is distinctive.
