New uniform

I found this pix on internet. According by news. This is new type of uniform for Russian officiers corp. First time it will be show up on wargame EAST2010

This is the new "digital Flora" pattern I have been hearing about for some time now.

I have seen many photos of it in testing (commercial versions have even been made available for purchase from several Russian military surplus-type sites) but I had no idea when it would actually be unveiled for use. Thanks for the info, Vicka!

You'd think they would at least change a color or two when they copy someone else's national pattern.

I agree... something to differentiate it so as not to make it look like a blatantly obvious copy (even though it is)... how do copyright laws on patterns work and how are they enforced or upheld? Could something be done about unlicenced reproduction?

Also, it kind of looks like they're producing an almost ACH-ish looking helmet now, too... anyone have any information on that?

this pretty much sums up Russian military uniforms.........confusing!

Really, on Your photography we see BW Fleсktarn camo.
On question of the copyrights - think that all lawfully. The Form is not official.
She is done quotient company. Some russian companies use camo material Fleсktarn for needlework, for instance such known
company as SouzCpecOsnashenie (CCO). They do not reproduce the camouflage, they use the matter.
This form not official and is carried quotient rather. Basically soldier Special Troops.

This is what I have found out.

This long list - but very fascinating deal - learn of Russian uniform more.
Big country - a big choice

I think it's for confusing the enemy ( NATO and USA)

No problems - an american army it is necessary will simply put on russian uniform for disguise

I just remember looking at the Georgian war back in 2008 and seeing all the Russian forces wearing all different types of camo uniforms and then seeing the Georgian forces pretty much wearing 2 or three different patterns. Just goes to show.

My friend in Finland got to meet one of the larger sellers of the new Russian digital flora back 2 years ago at a trade show in Heksinki, Finland. He bought one of the flora backpacks and was surprised on how well it was built. He is in the Finnish military in their ranger coy section. He also makes custom tactical nylon for members of his team. Their government is now looking at seeing if he can repair some of their tac vests which must have gone out to the lowest bidder.

He was very upset when the Russians copied their M-05 pattern camouflage. I just told him, hey if it is not them, then the Chinese or other countries will do it. That one firm in Poland is also making some of that fake M-05, but it is not the same cut as the original Finnish M-05 uniforms. My friends unit was selected to trial their countries M-05 pattern. Robepit on E-bay sells a bunch of it. It may be the right pattern, but it sure isn't the correct military style or cut. Just my .02 worth. Bruce

I remember the debacle between Finland & Russia over the production of M/05 very well; there were some good articles on it, but I have no idea where I found them when I read them...

Hi guys, this is one of my raisuit in Cyfra Camo

Not good uniform. Very fast becoming to dirt, not breath good, long drying. Too much polyester there. And color is crazy. From 3 meters it's like a green spot.
It can wears only in garrison, I think. Old flora is much better for field use.. Particulary for airborne (rip-stop, without bottom pockets on coat and double material on back of pants. manufactered 2005-2008. rare now.)
Vonstuck, your last uniform, which more green is commercial.
