    Was the telogreika used as late as 1974?
    Could be the size "grow 3 and length 1"? (рост 3 сорт 1)

    V-VI - analog 1.82-1.88 m

    length - COPT
    the quality to product (on deterioration):
    high - analog fine quality
    1 sort - analog very good quality
    2 sorts - analog good quality
    3 sorts - satisfactory quality


    telogreyka - analogue of the warm sweater without sleeve
    This is - vAtnik - warm quilted jacket with cotton wool (russian - "vata" - cotton) inwardly
    it was used and earlier 1974 year. Its carried not only military but also civil people.

    Because of the ink stamps the best I can tell is it was made in DDR. For sure it is DDR cloth. VERY RARE cloth, which is important to know. Of course the style and buttons are definitely Soviet.

    My guess? A Soviet officer had it made for himself sometime in the 1950s. Either that or a German tailor made it to try and make some money from Soviet soldiers.

    Whatever the truth is this is a very rare item. Maybe only one of these in the world. Whatever it is, I think it is quite valuable. I am happy Gilles has it.
