It looks commercial as no tags attached on the jacket. I've seen a set before in Ebay that says South African. Can someone pls. identify the country of origin?

South African, definitely commercial. It was made by two different companies in a variety of items. The colors vary a bit from the different batches, with some being more gray and others being distinctly purple. Not all that common, but not super rare either.

I THINK these were made by either Adder or ADRO.

Both, IIRC. I don't know if there were any more making them, I just know that I had two batches and the pieces weren't all of one company. I know Adder was one.
