    hi gilles,
could this one be from Ivory coast?

check the soldier on the back, left side, looks very similar and would explain the french cut to the jacket...

    Hello
This shirt is from the collect of Mike
    Mike think it is Sudan
I don't know For me it is not egyptian
The fabric and the construc are more beautiful than the Egyptian garment
The size is write with a latin letter, on Egyptian with arabic letter
See my website, the size stamp is at the same place than the Egyptian paratrooper jacket 2a

    hi gilles,

very nice set. i agree with you i think they are sudan..
i've seeing a few pics of sudanese soldiers wearing this same patterns, it is much brighter than a regular egyptian uniform.

    very cool

Very interesting! Mike knew a lot about the items in his collection, so I would assume this is Sudan.

The two Egyptian Rocks patterns are not the same, but they do have some sections that are identical. The Sudanese has no similarities that I can see. I agree the tailoring is much better than the Egyptian sets, but is not a custom made item either.

    Hi Gilles,

That uniform is Saudi of some sort. At least I have the exact same tags inside of at least one of my confirmed Saudi uniforms (a 6 Color Desert). That particular jacket also has a neck tag marked "S.A.A." with Arabic and English information on it.

    Hope that helps!

    Hello
This pattern is identical than my unknown 2
And very different than the precedent DPM set
Else the 3 sets are identical for the material and construct

Same label so I'd say it's Saudi. A very nice one too.

This pattern never use in Soviet army. Maybe it is something from commercial items?

    Hello Danilo
I have put this shirt in unknown because the drawing of the Colombian pattern is granulated, not the mine!

The patch on the upper right sleeve is for the Segunda Brigada del Ejército Nacional de Colombia (Colombian Army Second Brigade)The shoulder tab is for the "Fuerza de Tarea Rondon" (Task Force Rondon). TF "Rondon" was active from 1970 to 1982. The unit is known today as Grupo de Caballería Mecanizado No. 2 "Coronel Juan José Rondón" (2nd Mechanized Cavalry Group)

Looks like half French cut and half Chinese BDU.

And the camouflage pattern colours reminds me of the good-guy uniforms in the particularly horrible 1990's Jean Claude Van Damme movie 'Street fighter'...

Gilles, I was about to ask you the same question about the blue F2 set because I thought you would have an answer. I guess not Smile

I received two sets (same source as you, I am sure) and the seller didn't know who placed the contract. From the little information I have I would say it is for a very recent contract to an African country.

    Smile

I have one of these jackets, actually. Sadly mine did not come with Kylie inside it Very Happy My jacket is nearly identical, but lacks the sleeve straps. Oddly... mine is badged for "Palestine" and was purchased by a friend of a friend in Jordan back in the early 1990s. Either right around when the movie was made or slightly before.

The colors are very similar, but the pattern is definitely different.
