Over the past 12 months soldiers from SOTG have already trailed the MC uniform and due to their positv feedback this trail is now extended to all other Australian troops operating outside the wire in Afgahnistan.

Interestingly it seem like the also currently trailed Midpoint pattern, which is thought to replace the DPCU & DPDU, might join forces with the cut of the MC uniforms (which I believe are Crye Precision made) and create a new unique Australian Pattern

So we now have new challenges approaching:
1.) who'll be the first to score a set of DPMU (currently on trial)
2.) who'll be the first to score an AUSTRALIAN made version of a Multicam uniform ( still some time to go here)
and last but not least:

Who will be the first to get hands on one of the "DPMU-Multicam-cut-New-Aussi-Pattern-cams"? (If they ever pass the trail phase )

Oh wow....ANOTHER multicam variation....CP must be making a FORTUNE

What I'm unclear about is if the Aussies will go with a pure copy (like US) long term or if they will have their own unique variation (like UK). I'm not just talking about the cut of the uniform, which already appears to be unique, but the pattern itself. National pride will hopefully win out

As far as I understand it will be a mix of the currently trialed DPMU and the cut of the MC. Although it is not really clear if the cut is the one of Crye Precision, because there are different versions/ cuts and maybe even suppliers (CP, TrueSpec....) seen in the pictures showing Australian SF operators wearing MC.

Tru-Spec, propper and any others have the pay CP licensing fees to use multicam. The design is under copyright.

I checked with an Aussie officer friend of mine and he thinks the new uniform they are getting is the recolored AUSCAM pattern known as DPMU. So I don't know what to think!

I heard yesterday from a mate over there that the DPMU uniform trial was canned and they are going with the multicam uniform, and at the moment all the MC uniforms are coming from America...
