    Serb rebels in Croatia 1991-1995.

The Republic of Serbian Krajina (RSK) (Serbian: Republika Srpska Krajina, RSK; Република Српска Крајина, РСК) was a self-proclaimed Serb-dominated entity within Croatia. Established in 1991, it was not recognized internationally. In 1992, the Serb Krajina government signed a demilitarization agreement and removed all of the heavy artillery that was brought in by YNA at the start of the conflict, in exchange the area became a United Nations Protected demilitarized zone. The territory was legally protected by United Nations Protection Force and the Military of Republic of Serb Krajina (without the heavy artillery) until 1995. Its main portion was overrun by Croatian forces in 1995; a rump remained in Eastern Slavonia under UN administration (UNTAES) until its peaceful reincorporation into Croatia in 1998. "Krajina" is an old Serbian and Croatian word for "frontier".

    Thank's Gary,
Here are only insignias from my collection. If you want to see more from Balkans please, check my website on www.kokosar.com.
On IACMC I posted few scans with insignias from other Balkan countries, and there will be more scans soon.
    Stay safe and happy collecting

Here are 2 from my former collection. I got them in the early 90's and it was quite difficult to get them because serbs had to take a long trip via Hungary to reach my hometown. Interestingly, they were pretty common items in Serbia and sold in the streets.
