    Unknown Camo shirt. SAS?Any guess?

Post by casper_platoon on Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:48 pm

Well, I have this shirt for a long time and still don`t know what it is. The fabric and camouflage is identicall to the SAS Windproof smock from 2WW. It has the "gas flap" like US shirts, the buttons are typical for the 2WW British Commonwealth pieces. And at the end those four strange loops at the back of the shirt(for belt?) Anyone knows anything about it;)
I`ll be very very thanfull for any infos on these piece.

You have what appears to be a very, very rare British "Jungle (Shirt)". The only other one I've ever seen was up on eBay 3 years ago and it sold for a lot of money from what I remember. The tag was on the right inside button area, down near the lower hem. The one sold was made in 1944. All the features, including the loops on the back, are identical to this one.

    Keep it Very Happy
