Congrats!!!
Interesting... I didn't know they made modifications to the trousers as well as the jacket. The feature I can see is velcro'd belt loops along the front. Are there others besides those?

For sure it's a newer feature. It's just that in pictures you can easily see the differences in the arm pockets, but the trousers are practically never visible in detail. Especially around the waist. So this is the first time I've noticed difference in the trousers, though I probably would have noticed them from eBay pics had I been paying attention
Thanks for the pics!

Steve , the velcro belt loop ,I think is for insignia , there is only the one you can see , the rest look like the first pattern , but since I do not have a first pattern set , I dont know what else to compare , I have got to get some work done , but when I get a few minutes, I will post some detail pics of the set.

Wu-Huh!
Congrats Mr. Hoeger, your quest had been long and hard!
Glad you've finally caught up with such a fine set!
And yes, the velcro rank slide to the trousers came in at the same time as velcro bands to the upper arm pockets for mission (ISAF-) and company-insignia in 2008 forwards, otherwise no major changes to the design.
You've had to have lifted that set straight off a Danish soldier, I recon, as even militaria shops in Denmark, doesn't carry the newer sets, only wellworn, dirty and holed/damaged sets from 2001-2004 find their way into the broad sales. And we´re talking serious cash in straight sales.
My hat is off to you, Sir!

Sometimes you just have to go in country and take them right out of the FOB's , only way to get the good stuff LOL , it was Acquired by a surplus shop from a very recently returning veteran , he must have crossed paths with your guys there .

Funny, I just come back from Ciney Militaria 10/2011 with the two models of pants :
The rank slide is not the only difference. They replace the metal buckle at the back by plastic ones.
