Nice Swiss lid, this is an M40, the original M1918 had the liner the full circumference on the inside of the shell,in 1940 the Swiss decide to create a liner,that was cut out at the back,as an economy measure, apart from this the M1918,and the M1940 are the same.
I have one of these M40's and they are great collectables,and fairly cheap too, thanks for showing yours,good one
