Not as bright as the earlier versions,and this one has pen pocket on left sleeve,and Field bandage pocket on Right sleeve...enjoy

I saw a series of of photos the other day of British Paras on exercise in Kenya, and the majority were wearing trops, not the 95s. And in a nod to ally style, the squaddies were also wearing the old-school right arm rank badges instead of the slide on rank pauldrons... complete with scrimmed helmets!

Found them!

And as a bonus... a shot comparing the new MTP and jungle combats in their native environment. I think the adage "If it's not broken, don't fix it" is applicable here!

That dog must be gutted,as he did not get supplied any Jungle cammies, his coat is totally unsuitable for this environment

My guess is that the Para's figured they should make the most of the remaining time left to wear DPM, so they're going to do it right!

I think they let themselves down, by not wearing a Denison Smock

I don't blame them though, Kenya is a bit hot; But I'd bet money the Denison smocks were in their duffel bags for stagging on at night when it cools down.

You could be onto something there Ben,but if I'm not very much mistaken,I see just a glimpse of a DUFFEL COAT, hanging out of a Bergan.........How Ally is that,I rest my case

I totally agree , very similiar in appearance,pity it's not

not surprising that it looks similar, since the kiwis tend to lean closer to Brit designs rather than Americans (which Australia tends to do sometimes)

Yeah good point Mate, I've gotta admit though I'm a fan of Ozcam, only got one shirt..but it's a fave

I have yet to get hold of any Kiwi DPM, never seen it for sale,except Ebay,where it's way to expensive

the reason why its hard to get is because of:

1. Every set is the property of the New Zealand Government, so it must be kept at all times;
2. The New Zealand Army is ver small; so the issue of uniform is also small;
3. ive been told by my uncle, some uniforms are actually 'recycled' on occasion, so the chances of surplus gear are almost nil.

That's interesting info,I was not aware of these points,so if I ever do see any Kiwi kit,I'll know it's definetly worth picking up,as it's clearly hard to get hold of...nice one Mate
