Presenting Swiss patches from collection

I decided to show some swiss patches I have.
IT will be interesting to see the other's stuff from collections...

That's a nice bunch of stuff! I'm curious about the rank badges between the two long plastic shoulder/arm badges. Do you know what uniforms the black felt square and yellow plastic types were used for and when?

What about the black felt square rank tabs, as far as I remember, they came along with these collar tabs...

If am I wrong, I hope our colleagues from Switzerland or other countries, who know much more than I, will make the necessary corrections of information.

Thanks! The yellow one is for civilian fire services, the square ones might be from military dress uniforms? The diamond shaped badges are fire services, but could be military. I don't know

Steve, as far as I understand the yellow rank tabs belong to Schweiz Zivilschutz, not civilian fire-service...

As wiki says: "The Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP), under the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports, is responsible for the coordination of civil defense services. It operates the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) and the Spiez Laboratory, which is responsible for weapons of mass destruction research and protection.
Switzerland built an extensive network of fallout shelters during the cold war, including the Sonnenberg Tunnel. The reference Nuclear War Survival Skills declared that, as of 1986, "Switzerland has the best civil defense system, one that already includes blast shelters for over 85 percent of all its citizens".

And I like their humor and self-irony..;-)

Again about black felt square tabs... The ones with yellow strait stripes on each look similar to korporal's ranks on the picture below - marked with thin red curvy lines.

On the pic below I can see similar black square rank tabs, but with obergefreiter rank. Does it look similar?

Does your square rank have a loop for going on shoulder epaulets? In your picture they seem to be solid squares, maybe with hooks, velcro, or snaps on the back?

Steve, the black square ranks are just the same by construction as on the picture above or presented rank tabs with regiments numbers.
In other words, my rank tabs can be easily put on the shirt's or jacket's shoulder stripes similarly to the pic above.
