Cool nice one Mate, what amazes me is Ireland is a stone's throw away from me, yet there never seems to be hardly any Irish kit on the UK surplus Market/ebay, but loads in NZ ???

I brought a heap of Irish kit back from Timor as well, smocks and chest rigs. At one stage the whole of the 2/1 DFSW plt were wearing the smocks in the bush! Much better made and warmer than our issue one.

Just wondering, are the hoods on the parka supposed to be able to roll up/away?
Picked my parka/smock up at war and peace this year in a hard to find XL size, also got a pair of the summer trousers by Portwest in a size 44 inch waist!

    Smock was £60,trousers were £10.

BTW,does anyone have a couple of the green cord locks for the smock going spare please?

    Cheers,
    Andy

First off Andy we call them smocks not parkas. Now to answer your questions. Smile
The original design smocks (1999-2009)all have loose hanging hoods. The new ones(2010 Ptn) come with a velcro tab to roll the hood but old habits die hard and most lads just wear it down.

As for the cord locks what ones do you need? The round type or the square type?I might have few round ones knocking about.

PS: The next person to call our camo paddyflague or paddycam is getting bitchslapped Laughing It's IP-DPM.

    Hi Raptor,

    Thanks for your reply,appreciated!

The cord locks are the round ones for the waist drawstring on the smock.

    Cheers,
