    Unknown DPM coverall?

Post by Martin on Mon May 16, 2011 11:36 pm

    Hi Guys,

Anyone know what this coverall is?

    Sleeve pocket:

    Leg pockets:

Obviously made in England, looks like tropical DPM or NZ DPM. It has an attached hood. Was bought in Australia if that helps. Any help appreciated.

    Regards,
    Martin.

Looks very much like the early patttern NZDPM, maybe a Tankie or workshops item?

Never seen anything like it but the colours look like the old jungle lightweight jacket+trs.

    SAS Halo Jump suit possibly?

Yeah I'm leaning more towards some sort of jump coverall, because of the pockets and especially hood. The material is a bit lightweight for a tank suit as well.

If I remember correctly I have a DPCU coverall made by the same manufacturer, but of a heavier material, no hood, no complex pockets. I was told the DPCU coveralls were used by 1 Armoured Regt in the late 1980s, early 1990s. Not sure how accurate this is though...
