    Yugoslavian Tree Branch

Post by panzerwerk on Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:19 am

There is a newer version of this camo which I dont have an example , it has Black overprint on the pattern , I dont know if they just wanted to use up old fabric stacks and added the black for better effectiveness , but there is a pic at the end of the new type.

This was sold to me as a Military item , but i think it was a Kids bookbag , the small size and poor stitching Screams home made by mom , this fabric was used in the civilian population for years , ive read it was used for everything from curtains to guitar bags , this bag is made from a shelter half.

Cool pics, Gilles! You have some great sources for pictures.

Nice shot of a StG44. From what I understand the airborne forces used them as dummy guns for training exercises well into the 1980s.

I've been looking and looking for an airborne helmet. Best one I found so far was just the shell and the guy wanted way too much money. Dang.

This is a really cool pattern... very simple, but it does what it was intended to -- camouflage the wearer! Wink
