    PARKA,MANS,COLD WEATHER aka Falklands Parka.

Post by Gulf91 on Fri May 27, 2011 11:18 am

This is a 1000% Falklands period Parka due to the size label.

Weird, weird item and one ive avoided over the years as just didnt interest me as they are massive and way too big for me to wear Sad Sad

No i own one i suppose i will now HAVE to source the dammn bloody liner to go with it(and a few replacement buttons).

Weird in the fact that parts of the Parka including the elbow area with nylon type material.

Never had much experience with these parkas but just acquired a later one and they are very very different, first thing I noticed was that the early one(pictured) is made of a thin almost SAS smock type material while the lighter one is of much thicker combat smock type material.

Thanks Steve but think it will be way too big for either of the 2 parkas.

Very nice but no such thing as a 68 Pattern.

Looks like an early type made of the lightweight material?

Hi It's genuine 68 pattern made of Thicker cotton material,i think. The lable says "NATO number"not size number may be after 80's.
I have compared with another 68 pattern parka, different pattern the edge of the printing without dot and bleeding of paints.

    adjust loop on cuffs

    crotch flap

I still have another two parka in 85 and 94 pattern
