Spanish Modelo Z 42 Helmet. Empty Spanish Modelo Z 42 Helmet.

Here's my Spanish Modelo Z 1942 helmet. This is an early one with the 3 pad leather and felt liner that is riveted in. A friend had this and had removed the liner and was going to put a newer helmet liner from a Mich helmet to use as a biker helmet. He had used some cheap primer on the shell. I saw the liner and asked about it and he showed me the helmet. Needles to say, I dug out my old motor cycle helmet from the 70's (an Easy Rider Capt. America style one) and traded him. I had $5 in the biker helmet, so no loss there. I re-riveted the liner in and now just need to strip the cheap primer off. The liner is ID'ed but I can only make out part of what is written inside.
    Enjoy!!

The liner..There are 3 lines of writing in it. Top is un-readable (at least to my eyes), Next line says CAPITAN. Last line says B. Maiz Bello

Nice. It was used to write name of the company, unit, and the user in this case Captain Bello Maíz, it´s curios because troop class rotate them so the captain decided to claim one for himself for his exclusive use, probably he got a new one and left it when he left company.

Congratulations even I have no idea about helmets
