Think this may be a BGS cap which seems to have some form of insignia missing from the front.

Re: BGS Ski Cap???
Oo! I missed these pictures. This is a very difficult item to come by. It is a standard issue Sumpftarn cap that accompanied the first general issue uniform in 1958-1963. Yours was made in March 1959.
There are billions of fake hats out there, but very few originals. The easiest way to tell is the originals have two buttons, the "bullseye" badge (missing on yours), and soft cloth interior. Anything that looks waxy on the inside is a fake.

Cheers Steve-so could mine be original?
If so i do have a roundel on a diamond cloth backing somewhere that i remember taking off a Bundy side hat a very very long time ago-would this be the same as what was on the ski cap originaly?
Thanks

Re: BGS Ski Cap???
Yours is 110% original No copy has ink stamped markings inside, just a white maker label and/or size tag only.
I'm pretty sure the roundel is the same as was on BW items that came later in the 1960s and 1970s. At the time this was made the BW had roundels with either crossed swords or crossed wings (Luftwaffe).

Re: BGS Ski Cap???
Ah, the Filzlaus side cap is probably a good candidate.
