Kuwati Pattern??

I bought this from a USAF major. Was told that it is Kuwaiti Air Force, dated after Desert Storm and before OIF. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Even though the tag says combat coat it was sewn into the pants. No tags of any kind on the shirt.


Differnce in colors between pants and jacket.

I think so.

The pattern is Kuwaiti but it may be a commercial version, not to sure though. The pattern is Kuwaiti, its made in China but has a tag for an specific company. Plus the tags and everything inside are in English.

One of the things I learned while stationed in Kuwait is that a lot of stuff is written in the English language. One of the two major newspapers that we received while there was almost entirely (minus a few ads) in English. The other was about 3/4 in English.

One of the things about the Kuwaiti military is that you have to be a citizen to be in the military. Prior to the Iraqi invasion, anyone could be in the Kuwaiti military. They found that many either didn't fight or helped the Iraqis when the invasion occured. Kuwaiti citizens have some power and influence so I can assume that if wanted, tailor made uniforms would not be out of the question.

This last bit is just speculation.
