    Improved Northern Ireland Body Armour.

Post by Gulf91 on Wed Sep 21, 2011 3:39 pm

Believed to be an early version due to the cotton labels-later versions labels were a nylon type of material and had instructions for wear/use of the vest as these were meant to be worn UNDER a combat jacket/smock and the early vests were sometimes mistakenly worn OVER a jacket/smock by some squaddies Sad

    Thanks for the PM.

I have a CBA with plates and they will NOT fit the INIBA vest.

I found 2 of these at a range on top of Black mountain along with 2 SLR mags fully loaded when I was a kid in the mid 80s !

I bet some one got the book thrown at them for that.

At LAST a vest with the 2 plates.

Now just need to get rid of the 3 vests I have bought over the years that came with no plates.
