FSMO = Field Service Marching Order???

Nice layouts ... what pack is that with your green PLCE? Looks like a cross between the PLCE Bergen and a SAS/Para Bergen - was this a custom made job?

I have a vague recollection that they refer to it as 'CEFO' - Complete Equipment Fighting Order

    NZ meanings

Field Service Marching Order (FSMO) - Field Pack & Webbing/Vest.
Patrol order - Webbing/Vest with or without patrol packs/day sack.
Clean Fatigue - DPM shirt/trou & jungle hat.
Fruit salad - dressed down civi's - my favourite dress.

This would be 'Fruit Salad' then?? I'd call this bunch a 'Nut Sundae'!!

For a time our platoon carried Hawaiian shirts in our Marching Order for just such an occasion ...

Hawaiian shirts nah you could fit a slab of bacon for that!, one of the good things about living in a cold climate! fresh meat can last for days.

just to throw in my tuppence worth, CEMO and CEFO are used in regards to the '58 equipment, and when using PLCE its just Marching, Combat or Assault Order.
