    Belgian P.O.W medal and picture. WWII.

    Hi !

    Recently, I accuired a WWII Belgian medal, added to all these belgian soldiers who were at the prisoner camps, also known as "Stalags" or "MILITÄR STAMMLAGER" between 1940 and 1945.

    For five euros more you could take the medal with a picture of a Belgian soldier. This picture is very courious because it was made in the same stalag by the germans. In the back side you can read some coinages in german who say "M STAMMLARGER IV A" the camp were was this soldier.In one of these coinages in german say "In this picture you can't write anything, it won't be used as a postal card".

    Also, in the back side appear a name and a serial number, "Gilmaire" and "18807", maybe the name of this soldier and his serial number.
