WW2 era USN issue cold or foul weather mask and hat. These were issued to my great-uncle Emerson 'Corky' Barstow. He was a PO3/Coxswain and drove an LCVP off of the USS Berrien (APA-62). He was a driver at the invasions of Okinawa and Iwo Jima, and was also involved in the first landings in the northern Hokkaido at Ataru and Aomori. He wore this while on watch at nite both to keep warm and to black out his face.
