Managed to acquire a couple of these very nice uniforms some time ago .

This one is a mixed set of ripstop and non ripstop garments.   I have another set that is all ripstop, but am still working on badging  it.  More on that one in due time.

They are very nice Smile . Sizing is a bit ridiculous, though. A small smock on me is like a dress!

Not PADDYFLAGE. Irish pattern DPM  or IP-DPM. Please don't call it Paddyflage. The word Paddy is offensive to Irish people ( It was used by the british as a derogatory form of address back when we weren't friends)

PS: What you have there Rip is a set of the original pattern trousers(narrow belt loops, fold over top cargo pockets,no field dressing pocket) and shirt(angled pockets).Up until 2010 all our shirts and trousers were "mixed sets.
It's only since 2010 that we adopted the ripstop shirts and now they are mainly kept for in garrison wear with UBACS for field use.

    Thanks for the comments guy,

Raptor, no disrespect or offense intended when I called this set the P word..

I do apologize if I offended anyone.

Thanks for the info. Good to know the set is not a put together mixed set..

I also have an all cotton set dated '98 made by Seyntex.

No worries. The all cotton set you have is made up of a normal temperate pre '10 shirt and one of "trousers tropical".These trousers first went on issue with the first ARW platoon to deploy to East Timor in '99.These trousers continued to be know by that designation and were issued only to troops deploying to hot climates until recently when they were re -designated "trousers summer" and when the normal ripstop trousers were designated "trousers winter".The original winter trousers circa 98-99 had a water resistant membrane in the seat and knee lining but were uncomfortable to wear and were withdrawn from issue.
Just to add to the mix the 2010-2013 "summer trousers " made by Cooneen,Watts and stone have a higher % of polyester and incorporate a ripstop weave.
