One of my uniforms from the KFOR mission called M98, it has the Norwegian flag and subdued KFOR patch on the right upper sleeve and the infantry badge on the right lower sleeve. The patch for the Norwegian Inf Bn is on the left upper sleeve and the blue slip on stripe is for the B Co of the battalion.

AWESOME!!! Who are the makers of the actual issue uniforms....the one I have is a maker called "Bergan's of Norway" I just want to steer clear of commercial stuff as much as possible..I know most of the stuff I ever see from Finland is always commercial.

First of all, as the M98 is not a desert uniform it was posted in the wrong thread. Sorry about that, I guess I got a little carried away. I think Bergans of Norway produce uniforms for the army. The 98 pictured is produced by Cato Ringstad, here is the web link with a few pictures:

What are the correct designations for the four recent Norwegian uniforms?

    M98 Temperate
    M?? Desert
    M?? Temperate Ripstop
    M?? Desert Ripstop

The website link above makes it sound like the ripstop versions are M2000, but I have a M98 dated 2001 and a smooth desert uniform dated 2004. That doesn't make sense to me Wink

I have seen the latest temperate ripstop named M04. As I know there were no ripstop uniforms around when I left the Army in 2001 and I guess a M98 dated 2001 makes sence if it was replaced in 2004 with the ripstop model, not sure about the desert uniforms. This is a uniform I have only seen on pictures and I haven't been able to find any good info on them. I really have to get updated on the Norwegian uniforms used after I was done in the Army...

They are controlled, so there's only two sources:

    1. Directly from someone in the Norwegian military. That's a rare connection to have, but it's where I got most of my Norwegian stuff from.

    2. Indirectly from a Norwegian army source. This is the more common way of getting things.

Notice that both of these require an individual within the Norwegian military to get the ball rolling. Which is why these items are hard to find.

Now, if you don't mind decent commercial copies, there's all kinds of options out there. Here's one I recommend:

I haven't done business with them personally, but lots have. Plus, it turns out one of the guys who started the company was in the same unit as a guy I know through work. Small world Very Happy

Sorry, you're going to have to do the legwork on this if you want it. Google is your friend Very Happy

And yeah, if you're 2x or 3x you can pretty much forget about getting the real deal. It's an uncommon size to even exist, not to mention be available. Controlled uniforms, like Norwegian, usually come in only one size:

Whatever the guy has for sale.
