One of the best winter parkas out there, IMHO.

This one is from the tail end of Moleskin production (1990 dated). There are several versions throughout the years, but basically they look more similar than dissimilar. Very early models (late 1950s) had a green quilted liner sometimes.

Thanks for looking Steve, I can confirm this one has been worn through many a British winter and it was very good. I never knew that the early one's had quilted liners I guess this was a design copied from the US parka's?

Good info as ever Steve Wink

I also wore one through the "Grunge" years and a dammn good Parka it was.

Ended up giving it away to a builder mate to use on the sites.

A lot of the early BW gear was influenced by US stuff, however the parka and both types of liners are exceptions to this. The extremely rare trousers for the first model parka were highly influenced by M1951, just like Splittertarn, Filizlaus, and early Moleskin trousers.

I wore one of these parkas for a few years. Loved it.

I use one like that, the truth is that it is well sheltered and very comfortable.
