Would this be a nice representative piece of the 1st Gulf War?
Since I grew up with Desert Shield and later Desert Storm, I always wanted to have a representative item.
Sort of like an American or German helmet of WWII so to speak.

Unfortunately the maker markings are obscured by the neck piece.
I do have a choco-chip cover but I will leave this one on it.
A lot of photos show soldiers wearing the green camo covers in Iraq.

very nice Lid, if you look in the bottom the helmet shell ( inside) you should see numbers) this will help you to successfully date it, I have seen many pics of US troops wearing Woodland covers in Kuwait..cool piece mate.

The Pasgt Para conversion kit is fairly unusual item in these lids, normally it got ditched so congrats on owning this one.

    Thanks for the replies.
I am happy to have it in my collection.
As far as I can make out, it is a "UNICOR".
The rest is worn and obscured by the conversion kit.

Btw, does anyone know what the black cord is for?
I leave it on as it came with this helmet but I have no clue.
    Thanks.

Yes, a very good representation-- here in the states, iconic, not only of the Gulf War, but also the LA Riots, and even 9/11.

    Well done!

    Thank you. Smile

Now another question (sorry) ... what type of goggles were used with it?
I'm talking the First Gulf War.

    Thanks again,
