    hi guys i just wanted to share my british lids ,first is my D day mk111 the a more modern turtle form 72 and my mk6 enjoy james my  british helmets  100_1879

    Very cool display James, like em all, the camo netting on the Mk3 and Mk4 is it original period netting?

    hi gary ,the mk4 is period and came with the helmet as for the mk111 its not correct it should be a bigger size net more like the mk4 a good original ww2 net is hard to track down but one day ill find one cheers james

    Thanks James, and good luck with sourcing a period WW2 net, I had one one ...put it on an M1, but that's long gone Wink

    Both nets look ok for the period.

    I have MKIIIs in my collection with differently sized nets on them(untouched condition).

    A little off topic James, but what have you used to display the lid/mask combo ,looks like some black shiny plastic stuff..I'm always open to new ideas of how to display my lids (other than the usual and expensive poly-styrene model heads ) Question Wink

    Also interested as i bought 3 male Poly heads a few years back off EBAY and theyre MASSIVE so hardly any of my helmets fit on them Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

    thanks for the netting info gulf and yep you guys are correct it is simply guttering stuck together the masks fit a treat to this size diameter cheers james

    then to finish off the display wrap some matching dpm around the base to hide the stand and hey presto finished my  british helmets  100_1898

    That's a very nifty idea Mate, I may try this out for myself, and covering the base with DPM is genius ,it really does look very effective...cool Stuff.
